I am always looking for students interested in how animals work, especially fish. Students can be at the undergraduate level and applying for an NSERC Summer Research Award or 4th year honors students or at the graduate level inquiring to do a MSc or PhD degree. If you have an interest, some background in animal physiology/biochemistry and molecular biology, we should talk. The areas where I am particularly interested in adding students are in the impacts of toxicants on metabolic processes, nutrient sensors to partition cellular fuels in fish, and the impact of aquatic pharmaceuticals on metabolism in fish.
